How many penalty points does a BGP route get for each flap, when Route Dampening is enabled ?
Think of the answer before revealing the hidden one !
No hints given... instead another question: is this value configurable ?
After BGP Dampening is enabled, every time a route flaps, it gets a penalty of 1000. This penalty is cumulative and when it exceeds the suppress limit value, it will be get suppressed.
Note that this penalty value is not configurable.
